March 2010 HOY update

Hi,

Horse of the year was FANTASTIC! An amazing show in every way. My horses performed very well, and the show itself was magnificent.

Bates Amaretto MVNZ won the 6yr Horse of the Year Title - the class I had been aiming for all season, and Bates Kahurangi Vin Rouge was 3rd in the Lady Rider of the Year and 3rd in Speed horse of the year!

I was absolutely thrilled. (Must've been those good Vetpro B-Boost pastes keeping them going through the show eh?? )

Will get some photos to you as soon as I recieve some. Hopefully there are some goodies!

Cheers,

Lisa

Hi All!

So 2009-2010 season is now underway and so far two good shows for me.
My team of horses are looking good with some good results already.

Canouk won the 1.25m at Woodhill Sands and was 6th in the Grand Prix and jumped a super clear round so was rapt with that effort for our first show together. He jumped the Grand Prix at Te Teko yesterday and just had the first fence down (in atrocious conditions.) So we are on track to start in the World Cup class at Hawkes Bay show in a couple of weeks time.

Kahurangi Vin Rouge jumped clear rounds in the 1.25m classes at Woodhill sands - (my first show with her also.) At Te Teko on the weekend she was double clear and placed in the Welcome Stakes , then won the 1.30m. We scratched form the Grand Prix due to the conditions but she will jump the 1.40m classes and smaller Grand Prix at the shows in the next couple of months and hopefully step up to the bigger Grand Prix later in the season.

Limerick GNZ and Amaretto MVNZ (the 6yrs) jumped clear rounds in the 1.15m and 1.20m classes at Woodhill Sands and picked up prizes. They are looking good and on track for a good 6yr season.

So a good start!

I aim to get my '2009-2010' update/profile to you in the next couple of days with details of what im up to, the horses, the plan etc.

Many thanks, and hope all is well

"To the team at Vetpro,

I am writing to thank you for your fabulous support you have given me this past season with my wonderful team of horses.  It was a season with a few ups and downs! But some great results.  Your wonderful products have helped my horses to look and feel their best, and the results showed.

At the beginning of the season Kiwi Cash was looking far less than spectacular coming out of the winter, he was wild and we were having trouble with his brittle problem feet.  After using 'Equine Four Feet' his improved foot growth was well noted by our farrier and we were finally managing to keep the shoes on! At the beginning of the season we were losing shoes left right and centre.  By the end of the season his feet had improved out of sight.  As had his performance! Even though he missed 2 months during the season due to a freak injury, we still managed to finish 8th in the Cathay Pacific Grand Prix series, and were virtually unplaced in all Grand Prix starts, including wins at Kumeu and Counties Manukau.  Kiwi Cash jumped his first World Cup at Gisborne and I was rapt with his performance.  He then went on to finish 3rd in the National Showjumping Championships in Christchurch.  He finished the season with good performances in the big classes at the Horse of the Year show.

'Equine Vitamin E and Equine relax' I found a great help in dealing with his wayward nervous streak.  I feel I now have the formula to managing the wee man.  Bring on next season!

My team all run on '3 Horses Flex Equine' and I have found this product in valuable in keeping them running smoothly- especially Forest being the older horse that he is.  Another great product has been 'Equine Athlete Muscle Max'.  I used this product extensively with Forest after coming back from Australia.  Forest became ill with a virus and lost a lot of condition.  It took a great deal of effort to build him back up, and Muscle Max helped with this.  When he finally came right he came out firing and won his first start- a 1.40m class at Gisborne show, followed by a 1.45m class at Kihikihi a few weeks later.  I have used this product also with great success with several youngsters that have been difficult to get condition on.

The 'Equine Athlete  Quicklyte' and 'Equine Athlete B-Boost'  are always in my tack locker, and I would never be without them for shows. 'B-Boost' to give them the little something extra needed for high performance and 'Quicklyte' for recovery and after traveling.

Heading into Winter the 'A Team' are having a well deserved break, and the babies are learning the ropes as to what their life will be all about from now on!  I have a couple of smart rising 4 year olds by Mount Views lovely Stallion 'Pico Bello' and have just bought into a very exciting 4 year old Stallion by 'Littorio'  out of an imported 'Corrado' mare.  This is hopefully my star horse for the future which will take me overseas.  I am still in the process of finding more parties to complete the syndicate, but my share in him is secure.  He is being broken in now and I look forward to beginning the partnership with him!  As quickly as winter has come about, the 'winter break' will also quickly be over and it will soon be time to start gearing up for the next season, one which I am very excited about.

So to all the team, Tina, Lorene, James and Bev, Thank you.  Your support has been greatly appreciated.  Keep up the good work!!!

Many Thanks Lisa Coupe."
